Our History
With the high hopes of starting a company that could help small businesses, with a focus on the more disadvantaged businesses, BOOFOLA LLC was born. The company started strong with over 100 clients in just 2 months, but then global tragedy hit in the form of the COVID-19 pandemic. In only 3 months more than 70% of those clients were forced to close their doors, and the rest could no longer afford any additional expenditures.

Just What the Heck Does "Boofola" Mean?!
Many people ask where our company name comes from, and some even assume that it is a play of buffalo, or even "boofing" (don't ask!). Boofola is a very old noun that originated either in Roman times or in the time of Shakespeare. (The exact origin is hard to determine, and different sources claim both.) The original meaning was "A joke that gets loud or boisterous." A more modern adaptation of the word is " boffola(s), meaning about the same as the original, "A joke or punchline that elicits a loud, hearty laugh."
The company started from a joke post on social media that caused hundreds of replies asking where to get what had been posted. With the hopes of the business becoming something that could generate enough income to live, the meaning of the word seemed to fit perfectly.
Timing wasn't quite right due to the pandemic starting only months after the company was founded. After a bit of a hiatus, work began again and with an expanded scope.
